IMPORTANT DATES

• April 18 & 19, 2026 - Tryouts/Evaluations for 14U through 18U all levels (B/A/AA) includes Cascade Selects. 
• 5/29 - Team Overview for 2026-27 Announced
• 6/1/26 - Deadline to provide sizing information for Rapids branded warm-ups produced by Bend based Anvil Sportswear (Thank you!). No upfront cost. Cost will be included in the Team Fees paid during registration. Head to the Pavilion to try on samples to confirm sizing. Samples are by the concession stand in the lobby.
• 7/1/26 - Registration opens for Rapids home tournaments (link to come).
• 7/11/26 - Season registration opens (link to come).
• 7/31/26 - Season registration closes for all age levels except 8U.
• early October - Gear Swap & Bend Ice Season Kickoff Social
• mid-October - Pavilion ice sheet build.
• late-October - Practices begin (estimated / weather dependent).
• mid-November - Club wide meeting

We've got a bunch of exciting updates to share with you!

• Team Fees - We are happy to announce there will be no increase to team fees compared to last season! At the 8U age division we were able to reduce team fees by 8%.
• Scholarships - The Rapids continue to offer scholarships to help offset team fees. Scholarship amounts increased last season. Learn more.
• Uniform Upgrades - The uniforms are being upgraded to a tackle twill material with "cut & sew" elements like stitching, crests, and other features. This means all athletes will receive a new uniform. Learn more.
• Goalie Discount - At 14U and above, goaltenders will receive a 50% discount on Team Fees for the season.
• Gear Swap / Season Kickoff - The annual Gear Swap and Bend Ice Season Kickoff will be held at the same time at the Pavilion on Oct 4th, 3-7pm. Everyone's invited.
• Checking - Beginning this season 14U and above may now play checking hockey in Oregon.
• Oregon Selects becomes Cascade Selects - Our statewide Tier 2 hockey, 18U AA program is rebranding from Oregon Selects to Cascade Selects. A new uniform design is in the works.

TEAM FEES

Team fees cover most of the expenses associated with being on a youth hockey team, except for personal travel, equipment, and uniforms. However, there are some variations for each team which are noted below. Team fees include in-season practice ice, games, super weekends, tournaments, and Rapids operational costs. 

***Note: OSHA (Oregon State Hockey Association) games are estimated as follows for age divisions 12U and above. To be eligible for the end of season State Tournament OSHA requires each team to play each other 4 times (2 away and 2 home). Depending on the number of teams within the age division we estimate 12-20 games played over 6-10 weekends.
