What about 8Us and 10Us?

• There are no tryouts. 10Us may have informal evaluations at coaches' discretion at the start of the season during the few month of practices.

What if my athlete can't make the tryouts/evals?

• For AA level there may be additional options available. Contact the Head Coach or Coaching Director immediately with your request.
• For all other levels, depending on the age division and projected player numbers, there may be some additional options available such as a 2nd tryout/eval date or video review. If player numbers warrant two teams divided by skill level (green/white, upper/lower) within an age division evals are especially critical. Remember, evals are fun, a good learning experience, and a great way to shake off the rust from the Summer.

What's the difference between tryouts and evaluations?

• The terms are sometimes used interchangeably. Tryouts are typically used to identify and select athletes for specific teams with limited roster spaces. Evaluations can broader purposes, including for example a situation with a larger athlete pool in a given age division. In this case, while there are no "cuts", athletes may need to be split into on smaller teams of like abilities or determining a temporary roster for a tournament with specific skill level requirements.
