VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENT

Each family is required to complete 10 hours of volunteer time; half of which are required during home tournaments. This is enforced through the refundable volunteer fee that is paid up front during player registration (it's part of the season registration fee).

For the 2023-24 season, this fee is $400.

The fee is refundable when you complete your 10 hours.  Accruing 10 hours is easy and quick. It's per family. Start accruing your hours by reviewing what's needed and claiming an item.

The Volunteer Coordinator

This is a Steering Committee level role with voting privledges.  It's a 2-year commitment (as are all committee level positions).  "I loved getting to know so many families throughout the entire club. I enjoyed supporting the Team Managers who were so dedicated to the success of their teams!" --- Cindy Tisher, a previous volunteer Coordinator. So true... this role is perfect for someone who enjoys meeting new people and high fives with the tight knit crew of team managers.  You'll be at he heart of our Rapids community!

Team Managers

Team Managers! The Rapids want you and love you! Your #1 role is the team hub.

Here is a sampling of what the team manager does:

  • Act as a communication vector between coaches and parents
  • Coordinate parents to fill volunteer positions required at home games, away games, tournaments and fundraising committee.
  • Secure hotel room blocks for the team when traveling.
  • Maintain contact lists for all parents and players on your team
  • Submit rosters to tournament directors for out of town tournaments.
  • Maintain score sheets for your team (enough for all home games)
  •  Assist the coaching staff with administrative needs
  • Other day-to-day tasks as required from the organization and/or the coaching staff
